This is an ongoing series of drawings exploring the relationship between displacement, folklore, and identity. These works illustrate the search for belonging that may be characterized by portraits, still life or landscape. These magical narratives create worlds that can be described but never entered. By treating the drawing surface as a site of narrative excavation, the project draws from regional myths, children’s literature, and allegorical storytelling to explore themes of displacement, isolation, and the search for belonging. These drawings position landscape not simply as physical terrain, but as a repository for inherited narratives and collective memory.
