This collection of drawings investigates the fiction of identity through its performance in cerebral spaces that demonstrate a willingness to project and construct meaning. Death is our silent companion through life and these images are our shadows. This mortal awareness is our witness to childhood fantasies and adult realities. While these sentimental figures are absorbed with their own fantasy, they are still compelled to subvert conventional roles and relationships. They respond to the spatial illusions that compromise the underlying transactions between drawing and viewer. The act of drawing is a metaphor for codifying the complex structure of identity and influence.
